New Year's Eve at Friesensee
Important information for your stay
New Year’s Eve at Friesensee should once again be a pleasant and relaxing experience for all our guests. To make this possible, we would like to inform You about some important changes and details well in advance.
No fireworks provided by Friesensee
To protect nature and our animal guests, we will not be providing our own fireworks this year.
No drinks service on New Year’s Eve
As many guests now make their own arrangements and our previous New Year’s Eve programme was only used by a small number of guests in recent years, there will be no drinks service this year. Our Frieseneck will be open until 9:00 pm, just as it was last year.
Absolute ban on firecrackers throughout the entire site
There is an absolute ban on firecrackers and fireworks throughout the entire camping park on New Year’s Eve. In previous years, we unfortunately had to repeatedly observe fireworks being set off on the site despite the ban. Please be considerate of our guests, children and, in particular, dogs and other animals who choose to visit Friesensee precisely because it is a quieter place.
Setting off fireworks in the adjacent outdoor swimming pool car park is also not permitted. If You would like to set off fireworks Yourself, we recommend doing so at the Phantomkreuzung, which can be reached on foot in around 5 minutes.
Please note: The ban on firecrackers and fireworks on our site will be enforced particularly strictly this year. Violations will result in a ban from the premises.
A little thank-you for our New Year’s Eve guests
To make New Year’s Eve at Friesensee a special celebration for You nonetheless, all guests who have booked a pitch with us over New Year’s Eve will receive a small gift. We will provide You with further information in good time before Your arrival.
Important information regarding cancellations
If You decide against staying with us over New Year’s Eve due to these changes, You can still cancel Your New Year’s Eve stay free of charge until 30 September 2026. This applies exclusively to stays that include New Year’s Eve.
This special cancellation arrangement ends with this deadline: From 1 October 2026, our regular cancellation terms will once again apply to cancellations of New Year’s Eve stays.
With this arrangement, we want to give You planning certainty at an early stage while also giving You the opportunity to reconsider Your booking due to the changes.

New Robotic Lawnmowers at Friesensee
For an even more sustainable campsite!
We are now testing a robotic lawnmower at our campsite. Our aim is to gain initial experience with this technology and, in the long term, reduce the use of our older diesel-powered lawnmowers.
The robotic lawnmower will initially be used in the areas of Sielpfad, Harlequartier, Sonnenwinkel and Seeallee. The mowing times will be coordinated with the respective areas so that the work causes as little disruption as possible for you as our guests.
Important information:
• The robotic lawnmower uses camera-based obstacle detection. No guests are recorded; the camera is only used to detect obstacles.
• Please do not leave tent pegs or similar objects on the grass.
• Around the private bathrooms, we will maintain a distance of approx. 2 metres on all sides. The robotic lawnmower will therefore not drive directly up to the private bathrooms.
• Specific travel routes will be set up for the robotic lawnmower. These are marked with white lines on the ground. Please expect the robotic lawnmower to be travelling along these routes.
• Additional signage at the entrance will inform you about the use of robotic lawnmowers.
With this new technology, we want to further improve the maintenance of our green spaces while also enhancing the quality of your stay at Friesensee. This year, we are initially gathering experience with the new technology and will see how well it performs in everyday operations.

From November 1: Cashless payments at Friesensee
Simple, fast and convenient!
Starting November 1, we will switch to cashless payments at our reception. All payments on site can then be made conveniently by card.
Why are we making this change?
We want to simplify our daily processes and create more time for what matters most: taking care of our guests. Handling and managing cash takes a lot of time in our daily operations – time that we would rather spend helping you and making your stay as enjoyable as possible.
What this means for you:
• All payments at the reception will be cashless.
• EC cards and major credit cards are accepted.
• Payments are simple, fast and convenient.
This change will help us optimize our processes and reduce waiting times – for you and for our team.

New Jetty
at Harlequartier!
A maximum of 5 people at a time are allowed on the jetty. Use is at your own risk. Have fun exploring!
Our New Dog Area
at Friesensee!
Our new dog area is now open at the campsite and ready for you and your four-legged friends.
To make sure every dog feels comfortable, we have divided the area into two separate sections. We are deliberately leaving it up to you how you use them. The idea is simply to provide an alternative area if the mix of dogs on one side is not suitable, for example for older dogs who prefer some peace and quiet or younger dogs who want to play and let off some energy together. You can decide for yourself which section is the best fit.

B210 road closure between Jever and Wittmund
Friesensee remains easily accessible
From 31 August 2026, the B210 between Jever and Wittmund is expected to be completely closed until the end of September.
Don’t worry: Camping- und Ferienpark Friesensee remains easily accessible! Guests arriving from the direction of Jever or Wilhelmshaven should use the following detour during the road closure:
Jever → Cleverns → Rispel → Leerhafe → Isums / Friesensee
Please allow a little extra travel time and follow the signposted detour.
According to the current schedule, the road closure is expected to remain in place until the end of September 2026. The duration may change depending on weather conditions and the progress of the construction work.

at Friesensee!
Would you like to stay active during your holiday and enjoy a game of tennis? Right next to Friesensee, you can use the tennis courts of MTV Wittmund.
The most important information at a glance:
• Available from May until the end of October
• Open daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm
• Court rental: €22.50 per hour & court
• From 6:00 pm: €27.50 per hour & court
• Easy payment at our reception
• Court 3 is preferred for our guests
How to get there:
Walk across the parking area from the Friesensee grounds and keep to the right. You will see the sign “Tennisclub Wittmund”. At the entrance gate, there is a button on the left side to access the facility. After crossing the bridge, simply follow the path along the fence to Court 3.
Important information:
• Please only use proper clay court tennis shoes
• Shoes with rough soles or running shoes are not allowed
• After playing, please use the drag net to smooth the court
• Please leave the facility clean and tidy
You can get your guest pass directly at our reception. Enjoy your game!

Dear guests,
the new opening hours for the 2026 season at Frieseneck have been confirmed.
From March to June 2026, our updated hours apply: In March, we are open from Friday to Sunday. Starting in April, we are extending our opening days, and from May and throughout June, we are open Monday through Sunday.
Please also note:
On 22/04/2026, Frieseneck will be closed.
In March, we may also open on Thursdays in good weather and with sufficient attendance.

regarding the water supply in winter
Update on Flight Operations
at Wittmundhafen Airport
Our campsite and holiday park is located in the flight path of Wittmundhafen Airport. Since early 2025, test flights have resumed here, and over the course of the year, flight operations have gradually been reintroduced.
In general, landings occur over our premises, while take-offs are in the opposite direction. This means that the afterburner – and thus the loudest noise – is typically not used over our park. As a result, the noise level is usually low and often hardly noticeable.
Nevertheless, occasional flight noise may occur. If you have any questions about flight operations, we are always happy to assist and do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. If you find the flight noise disturbing, you can get free earplugs at the reception.
