A lake of around six hectares is the heart and haven of our camping and holiday park in Wittmund-Isums, not far from the North Sea. Here, you can feel the true East Frisian calm from the moment you arrive and enjoy a slower pace away from the tourist hotspots.
At Friesensee, the North Sea beach in Harlesiel is only 17 km away. But you still get to enjoy water around the clock—without tides. It’s no coincidence that we’ve made this beautiful corner of East Frisia part of our name.
The perfect lake view is available from our six Seelodges, the three holiday apartments, as well as our premium pitches in the front row.
Please note that swimming in our gravel lake can be dangerous due to the steep banks. The lake is not supervised, so you swim at your own risk.
For completely carefree swimming fun for both young and old, head next door to the Freizeit- und Erlebnisbad Isums, one of East Frisia’s most popular outdoor pools, with everything you could wish for!
And of course, you can also sunbathe and relax on our beach…!

Our campsite in Isums, Wittmund is just 17 km from the stunning North Sea beaches. Take the opportunity to explore the area and experience the unique charm of East Frisia. The region has plenty to offer for campers and nature lovers alike.
Whether on foot or by bike, there are numerous cycling and hiking trails that wind through the picturesque landscape. Visit the fishing harbor in Harlesiel, go on a mudflat hike, or explore the famous Wattenmeerhaus in Wilhelmshaven. For families with children, a trip to the nearby Jaderberg animal and adventure park or the Ottermeer in Wiesmoor is a wonderful experience.
