A lake of around six hectares is the heart and tranquil center of our newly opened campsite and holiday park in Wittmund-Isums, not far from the North Sea.

A modern camping experience
by your own lake, not far from the coast
Our camping and holiday park Friesensee is located in Isums, a quiet village in the state-recognized resort town of Wittmund. Here, you can enjoy a wonderful lake panorama away from the tourist hotspots and experience modern camping for the whole family.
Visit us with your motorhome, caravan, or van: From simple short-term pitches to spacious pitches by the lake, to pitches with private bathrooms, we have the right offer for every comfort class. Looking for lakeside accommodation? Our modern, fully-equipped lake lodges with their own sun terrace, as well as our three holiday apartments, offer space for up to four people and are the perfect retreat for singles, couples, and families.
With its central location, our campsite is the ideal starting point to breathe in the sea air and explore the East Frisian Peninsula.
Cycle along the coast, explore the resort town of Wittmund just around the corner, go on a shopping tour through “East Frisia’s secret capital” Aurich, or plan a day trip to the picturesque fishing village of Greetsiel.
In the summer months, the public Leisure and Adventure Pool Isums, right next to the campsite, invites both big and small guests to jump into the cool water. We believe that a campsite with an outdoor pool and plenty of water slides is an essential part of a perfect summer vacation.
For cozy barbecue evenings, we’ve got you covered too: If you run out of gas, you can easily take advantage of our gas bottle service: simply exchange empty bottles at the reception and the grilling fun can continue.
And for those who like it a bit rougher, the flatlands are also perfect for autumn and winter camping, where you can get a proper East Frisian breeze to really refresh your spirit.
