Our Vision
at Friesensee
Friesensee campsite offers a new camping experience – big in possibilities, but not in appearance. Our vision is to create a spacious site with deliberately separated, individually designed areas that blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings. No uniform grids, no “cage structure” like at traditional campsites – instead, cozy zones with shade, privacy, and plenty of space to relax amid nature.
We develop around the lake with the utmost respect for the landscape. Our goal is to expand in the most environmentally friendly way possible. Friesensee is not a place that overwhelms nature – it’s a place that allows sustainable stays within it.
A key pillar of our vision is digitalization. We aim to make our guests’ stay as comfortable and convenient as possible – from digital check-in to modern services accessible via app. This way, more time is left for what truly matters: relaxation and enjoying nature.
At the same time, we focus strongly on sustainability. Our energy supply is increasingly designed to be self-sufficient through the expansion of renewable energy on site. This actively conserves resources and makes Friesensee campsite future-proof.
We want our guests not just to stay overnight, but to linger. That’s why we continuously develop the site with new attractions and thoughtfully designed offerings, ensuring fresh experiences every year. Each visit to Friesensee becomes unique.

To bring our vision of a modern, nature-oriented, and sustainable campsite at Friesensee to life, we pursue clear short- and medium-term goals:
- Sustainable Development
- Further development of the site with respect for nature and privacy
- Targeted expansion of individual zones instead of overall densification
- Planting new trees, creating flower fields, and natural planting areas
- Energy Self-Sufficiency & Modern Technology
- Expansion of photovoltaic areas for self-supply
- Use of the latest storage technologies for maximum energy efficiency
- Goal: become as independent from external energy sources as possible
- Digitalization & User-Friendliness
- Easy check-in and check-out for all guests – digital and contactless
- Clear and fair pricing: pitch X = amount Y, regardless of number of people (plus electricity)
- Intuitive booking and use of all services
- Expanded Offerings & Comfort
- Expansion of the rental center for caravans, tents, and equipment
- Extension of the spa area: additional saunas, rentable jacuzzis, and relaxation zones
- Expansion of the dog area for more freedom and comfort for pets
